Attention Students, Staff, and Faculty: Saturday December 16th is National Wreaths Across America Day. On this day, all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and over 24 Overseas Cemeteries will be a host to wreath laying ceremonies. Volunteers are needed to help make this annual event a continued success to Remember, Honor, and Teach, as wreaths are laid on veterans’ grave. Keiser University eCampus and Graduate School, are encouraging our Keiser community to make the commitment to remember our fallen servicemen and women, by attending a local ceremony and help lay wreaths, once again by joining Team Keiser for a day of community and service. Student Services will have a team at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, but there are hundreds of locations that you can join; including Pearl Harbor and Arlington that will host special ceremonies.

How to participate: *Please note each location may have different start times, but all start with a ceremony and concludes with the laying of wreaths. 1. South Florida: Heather Cordner, Director of Student Services - eCampus and Graduate School, is a registered contact for the South Florida National Cemetery Ceremony, located in Lake Worth. This event starts at 12pm. If you are able to join this team, please email Heather directly so she can provide additional information and meeting time/place for this ceremony. 2. National and Other Florida locations: To locate your local ceremony, please use the national website https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/GetInvolved/PlaceWreaths a. Once on the site click on VOLUNTEER and search by zip code for your local event. b. Be sure to register and bring as many people as you can, as they are always looking for more volunteers to lay wreaths. c. Once you register, please share with Student Services, so we can let others in your area know that we will have group for them to be part of. d. Check out the start time to plan accordingly. e. Send us pictures! Let’s show the full impact Keiser University eCampus and Graduate School has not just in the State of Florida, but everywhere! This is a voluntary event, but we hope to see many of you there with your families and anyone else that wishes to take part.

As this is part of a SGA initiative, if you donate a toy please let us know, by emailing gsstudentservices@keiseruniversity.edu
