What is your fondest memory of being here at the Wolf Pack?

I know it may sound like a cliche, but my fondest memories all revolve around the Wolf Pack team. Kunsan is an outstanding assignment because of the people we have doing the mission every day. I have had the pleasure of watching Airmen throughout the Wing perform their duties flawlessly for almost a year now, nothing compares to when I have the pleasure to chat with a Defender, Vehicle Maintainer, Cable Dog, EOD technician, DFAC supervisor, dental technician, Intel specialist, and ammo troop and you can see and feel the professionalism and excitement as they talk about their job and how it impacts the mission here at the Wolf Pack. I am not sure I will see that at the level I do here when I PCS out in June.

In what ways have you grown/ learned from this experience?

I am not sure there is enough space to articulate the ways I have grown or what I have learned during this assignment. I have been with the Security Forces enterprise for my entire 33 years, SF is 1/5th of my official portfolio, CE, CS, FSS, and LRS round out the other 4/5ths, but you could also throw Contracting, AAFES, and DECA services on top of those previously mentioned, all that to say, my learning curve has never ended. The amount of information that flows through the MSG front office daily is far more than I ever imagined. I am a better mission partner and support officer who knows without a doubt, there is nothing support personnel or teams cannot accomplish, sometimes as leaders, we just need to provide intent and get out of the way. I am continuously amazed by the caliber of people we have here and the grace and patience they have shown me as I ask a lot of questions and need context to understand what I can only imagine is routine business to them. To sum it up, this tour has been everything I expected and a whole lot more!

What is your best memory at Kunsan?

Military & Family Readiness Center

My best memory of being at Kunsan was the opportunity to attend the Air Force Ball. I have attended the Navy Ball, the Seabee Ball, the Marine Corps Ball and the Coast Guard Ball and I finally got a chance to attend the Air Force Ball! I love dressing up, so it was awesome to see airmen in their mess-dress or semi-formal uniforms and the ladies in their ball gowns, I even saw a gentleman in traditional Samoa attire. I also enjoyed all the Air Force traditions that were displayed and the camaraderie of all who attended. It was a highlight of my time here at Kunsan and a night to remember.

What is your favorite part about working at the M&FRC?

My favorite part about working at M&FRC is the ability to help our airmen and in some instances, their families meet the obligations and challenges of Air Force life. I love helping people and assisting them in ways that can help and/or impact their lives. When my customers meet their professional or personal goal, I celebrate those successes with them. I really enjoy listening to people's life's stories and letting them know I am there for them. It's been an amazing, fulfilling job, and I hope to continue working with people who need support, encouragement, and empowerment in their lives. I consider myself so fortunate to wake up and feel passion in my work, and I see myself doing this for a very long time.

What do you wish the Kunsan community knew about your programs?

M&FRC programs directly support mission readiness by preparing service members and their families for the physical, emotional, interpersonal, and logistical demands of the military lifestyle. We provide services such as relocation assistance, federal voting assistance, financial management counseling, family employment services, cultural adaptation classes, transition assistance programs and information and referral. M&FRC promotes self-reliance and resiliency through our workshops, classes, and counseling session and can provide courses by command request or through walk-in’s or appointment. Our goal is to alleviate some of the many stressors’ airmen face daily when trying to meet the mission of the Air Force. We believe that when airmen receive accurate resources and support, it ultimately contributes to Air Force readiness.
