Each vicuña garment developed by KUNA, in a process carried out entirely in Peru, has a certification granted by CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and MINvAGRI (Peruvian Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation ) which accredits the legal obtaining of vicuña fiber without harming or killing this camelid. Vicuña garments are considered the Gold of the Andes, since it is the finest animal fiber in the world, it is scarce because we are talking about a wild animal and the selection of his fiber is done manually through associations of Andean settlers who have passed this knowledge on from generation to generation. Owning a vicuña garment goes beyond being a luxury piece, it is a cultural legacy that will last over time.
