I was attracted by the architecture of the majestic temples and hence developed an interest in this profession from my childhood. I have ventured into various fields of photography such as Streets, Food, Architecture, Potraits, Sports and so on and I believe that I am quite versatile in it. I also worked as a digital marketer which gave me an insight about the rapidly developing digital world. Right from building Lego blocks in a creative manner at an young age to designing and drafting my ideas in papers I have come a long way. I strongly believe that being an architect is not a job but a lifestyle.

Our site which is always alive with bustling traffic throughout the day commuting a major workforce, lacks a clean and safe public toilet.

(Time Problem)

The existing public toilets has never been an option to the concerned workforce owing to its poor maintenance and risk of illegal activites Addressing the above issue unutilized extra space in major showrooms can be converted to a Public toilet cum Sitout & play area as picturized in my model below as a part of their CSR activity

PUBLIC BUILDING Site: Velachery, Chennai The busiest Velachery with clustered restaurants in every nook and corner doesn’t have a single drive to destination except for the note-worthy Phoenix Mall. This idea is to create a one-place stop for socializing in all terms refraining from the regular mall format. This covers fitness, developing a reading hobby, a business centre, a daycare and also acts as a market space.

Food Court Even though the area is flooded with restaurants, getting all cuisine in one place is the idea behind this food court. Not only generates revenue for the building but also keeps the crowd intact with the building

Introduction We were challenged with 50,000sq.m in our design brief covering a Government Office, Library, a Supermarket, Apartments, a children play area, and an Urban Health Centre. In addition to this, I personally wanted to utilise the clean up process happening in buckingam canal by converting the ends to a pedestrian walkway.

Also to make the area more habitable I have included a market space and a transportation hub.

Goverment Office Allocating the prime central space of the site to this Hi-tech government office. The ground floor is shared by various departments in a cabinet model completely digitalized encompassing various kiosk points, a Post office and a spacious waiting lounge. The second floor is dedicated to a Library, a Cafe, a knowledge centre and a co-working space. The terrace space is utlized as a proper sit-out space also catering to the needs of casual official gatherings

TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION WORKSHOP (B) The Summer Winter School Program (By NASA India)

The Summer-Winter School Program of Traditional Construction workshop was organized by NASA India in collaboration with EARTH BUILDING, which envisions, designs and helps to build natural homes. This program conducted a workshop for 20 selected passionate architecture students from across the country.

It was an attempt to expose young minds to Traditional Building methods in South India with hands-on experience.

The programme aimed to provoke architecture students from different parts of India, to understand Earthen construction and realise the opportunities that they could get knowledge and the Building methods and construction.

TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION WORKSHOP Lime Plastering Lime plastering first baked - Limestone or shells are slaked by adding water then slaked lime is mixed with sand accordingly and then plastering is done by covering the un- even surfaces of the wall with 1/2”inch to 1” inch thick. Which is called as a base coat.

Materials Needed: Slaked lime, Sand, Feldspar power, Egg white, Water Advantages: Lime plaster is less affected by water and will not soften or dissolve like drywall and earthen or gypsum plaster.

Disadvantages: Non-hydraulic lime plaster sets slowly and is quite caustic while wet, Plasterers must take care to protect themselves or use mild acids such as vinegar or lemon juice to neutralize chemical burn.

Mud Plastering

Mud Plastering, Initially the Coarse mud and sand are added in a 1:1 ratio, and then the water is added based on the ball or squeezing test. Interior lime plastering consists of 3 to 4 layers.

Usually, soil which is rich in clay is used in plastering. Before applying the first layer the wall should be prepared by wetting the surface using water so that the mix sticks on the surface properly.

Materials Needed: 1. Red soil 2. Sand 3. Jaggery 4. Wate

I am a passionate Photographer. I was interested in handling cameras at the tender age of seven and started to develop skills in photography when I was in eighth grade. I completed photography courses from Karthik Srinivasan and Amar Ramesh and developed a love to capture nature at its best which later extended to Food and Products, Architecture, Portraits, Concerts and Pets I believe that every picture speaks volumes and the moments are brought to life through the lens of the camera.
