TRANSIT HUB

The Project is proposed to be developed on a 10.84-acre site owned by PMC, off Mumbai-Pune Expressway and opposite the Balewadi Sports Complex. The proposed site is strategically located along the busy National Highway and enjoys access to Pune city. The Project is proposed to be developed as a TOD zone as per the Development Control Regulations (DCR-2017) for Pune, which allows for a maximum FSI of 4.

The proposed Transit hub will be a state of the art mixed land use development, integrating transport facilities in the project site ad measuring around 10.84 acres in Balewadi. The project will serve as a land mark Transit Oriented Development (TOD), integrating public & private transport with large scale commercial and retail development. The project facilities may include:

• Transit hub facility including adequate numbers of bus and para transit bays to take care of inter-city, intra-city, para-transit demand;

• Integration with the city Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system; bus transit facilities for both inter and intra city services of PMPML, MSRTC and private operators;

• Integration of proposed metro station as part of the proposed Shivajinagar – Hinjewadi corridor being developed by PMRDA;

• Commercial development including high quality office, retail, hospitality and other facilities;

The site

The current land use is Public Semi Public (PSP), with base FSI of 1.25. The land use for the site is proposed to be changed to Transit Oriented Development (TOD) which allows for a maximum of 4 FSI.

CITY SHOPPING CENTRE

The academic project of the 7th semester aims to propose a city shopping centre, at Nagpur , Mharashtra. The site of the 7 acres lies in the exact heart of the city, Sonegaon, from where, the very ambitious and futuristic project of “ The London Street ‘ also begins.This site is also the part of the project which serves as a focal point for various other major hubs of the city.

STREET SCAPING

This project of the Urban Design Aims to develop and Beautify the streets of an Institutional Area of Seminary hills, Nagpur.

The two of Prominent institutes of the city, LAD College and Government Veternary College area Opposite two each other.

The roadside abandoned area had attracte the unauthorised stalls and thus, creation of nuisence in the area.

Thus the proper street redesign would avoid the misuse of the area. Proper planning of the activities would make the space functional and interactive and will also contribute in the aesthetic enhancement of the streetsacpe.

Futuristic approach

In Near future, the MBDB ( Maharashtra bamboo development board is coming up with “ Bamboo Setum” on 5 Hectre

reserved forest in Seminary hills, which will inculcate the value of Urban ecology in the city area, thus the Use of Bamboo Can create the Contexual ambience along with the coordination with futuristic vision.

Material pallette

Due to the extreme weather conditions of Nagpur in summer season, the high albedo materials are proposed for all the elements of streetscape.

The hospitality Project of Jungle lodges and resort aims to build an Eco-resort, of the engineered Bamboo Wood and the steel framework.

The residential Project at Thannisandra road is the Farmhouse, with a Unique construction method as the site is contour, as well as there is a huge natural rock present in between the site.

Half of the plinth is on the huge natural rock, of the PCC, while the other half of the plinth, which is not on the rock has an RCC base, below which the basement is accomodated for the parking purpose.

The project of Kashibai temple redevelopment was the competition of Landscape architecture, in which , the abandoned heritage site of Kashibai Temple was to be redeveloped in order to attract the vistors, make the space functional, and most importantly, to pay the tribute to the rich history of the Bhosales of Nagpur, The direct Desendents of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharj.

As per the history, during the war, many labours were won from the different part of the country.

Thus in this single site, many architectural styles of Maratha , Mughal and Rajputas are Reflected From the constructed monument. The design Proposal also Aimed to conceptualize those styles in the Design.
