Technology Transfer
from KU Forward
by KUBrochures
Khalifa University’s focus on developing novel science and technology innovations is helping to bridge the gap between lab and market in the UAE.
At Khalifa University, we are committed to bringing use-inspired research of direct relevance to the UAE’s key industrial sectors through the innovation pipeline, from the research and development stage to inventions and innovations that ultimately are commercialized.
The University’s Technology Management and Innovation Office assists researchers in the process of translating their cuttingedge research into commercially-viable products by helping them apply for patents and develop prototypes through proof-of-concept funding. The office supports technology commercialization through the negotiation of technology licensing agreements.
Khalifa Innovation Center (KIC)
KIC is a start-up company incubation center that is supported by Khalifa University, Khalifa Fund, Mubadala, Tawazun and Sandooq Al Watan. The center supports the formation of high tech start-ups through its funding and training programs.
The start-ups produced by KIC directly support the UAE 2021 vision of transitioning the country into a knowledge-based economy that is underpinned by research and innovation.
