Building a culture of learning that shapes the future
1
Buildings and landscapes intertwine, each enriching and providing meaning to the other. To be successful, they must work together to address the needs of the campus community, including the need for beauty and respite.
3
Inside Creating purposeful relationships between existing and new campus structures is an art. These relationships form a welcoming environment that supports legacy-building, innovation, and campus life. We have programmed, planned, and designed over seventy-five million square feet of academic space for the nation’s leading colleges and universities, and we look forward to working with your institution to deliver architecture that meets today’s—and tomorrow’s—needs.

How We Work 5
Our firm is a hive of creativity dedicated to producing remarkable architecture while improving design outcomes. Our first act of design is to confirm shared goals and vision with each client. This highly collaborative process continues in the studio where we bring together architectural expertise and transdisciplinary research to design memorable places that transcend circumstance.

Pact with the Planet 8
WORKING WITH US
We believe it is our collective ethical obligation to tackle climate change, social inequity, and ecological fragility on every project. Our transdisciplinary research team seeks novel materials and tools in pursuit of a better planet. We lead and support other architects in industry-wide efforts to make all buildings carbon neutral by 2030. Environmentally responsible buildings are more than a sum of individual parts. We incorporate environmental initiatives at every phase of design. This holistic approach leads to resonant and compelling work that artfully balances environmental responsibility with performance, constructability, and budget.
