Needlework for Those in Need

If you enjoy crochet or knitting and helping others, we have a surplus of donated yarn, so we are looking for folks to make crib/child size Blankets and Afghans. See Chyrl or Ann for yarn.

What is a busted canvas? Find out how to make the latest crafting craze using decoupage, paint and embellishments on canvas. Stop by the senior lobby for an opportunity to learn how to do hands only CPR and use an AED (automated external defibrillator). You never know when you might need these skills to save a life!

An AED is a portable device that can be used to treat a person whose heart has suddenly stopped working. AEDs are more available than ever, but would you know how to use one? All AEDs give step by step voice instructions on when and how to use them, but becoming familiar with them ahead of time and getting some hands on practice, could save valuable time.
