This is our monthly volunteer meeting. Refreshments will be served. A representative of Northeast Tennessee Avian Rescue and Rehab will be the guest speaker. Every five years, the Center staff, Advisory Council and community members review the standards of operations for senior services. The process begins with the Mission, Vision and Core Values that provide the focus for programs.

Join us outdoors for a fun, high-intensity fitness class utilizing the steps to move and doing some fun kickboxing moves. Laurel Run Falls

This a hike up to some smaller waterfalls. The movie “The River” was filmed here in 1984 starring Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek. We will hike up to the overlook then to the falls. There is a creek crossing. You may have wet feet if the water is high, so be prepared. Meet in the parking on the right. If you want to leave from the Center, meet at 8am.

PHIPPS BEND TRAIL

This is a 6 mile hike/ walk on mostly gravel paths. Meet in the parking lot at Phipps

This is a 5 mile out and back on the tracks. Beautiful views of the gorge. It is on private property so we have to register at the main building.

This will be a 3 mile hike to the 60 Foot waterfall. It is steep in parts and very rocky . There is a stream crossing and beautiful views. Meet in the gravel parking lot of the falls.
