2023 Polar Plunge Team Thank you to everyone who supported the 2023 Freezin' for a Reason Gosnold Annual Polar Plunge!

We raised over $20,000 for Gosnold's vital programs and services. Once again, it was a close fundraising competition between "The Chosen Ones" team, lead

by Kevin Mikolazyk, and the "Recovery is Possible" team, lead by Kevin G Rosario. While "The Chosen Ones" won the team fundraising, Kevin Rosario beat Kevin Mikolazyk in total individual funds raised (for the second year in a row)!

GOSNOLD EXPANDS PHP PROGRAM

GOSNOLD ALUMNI AWARD

Gosnold Behavioral Health is excited to announce the expansion of its Partial Hospital Program (PHP) to all of Massachusetts through our Virtual PHP Platform.

Do you know someone who has completed treatment at Gosnold and maintains a meaningful life in recovery? They may be a candidate for the 2nd Annual Martin J. Walsh Alumni Award!

We will also be opening multiple new in-person locations this spring.

The Martin J. Walsh Alumni Award recognizes and honors individuals who have overcome significant hurdles due to substance use and/or mental health disorders. By celebrating stories like these, this annual tradition aims to show people that recovery is possible, and there is hope.

To nominate a recipient, please reach out to Keith Shaffer, Director of Marketing and Alumni Relations, at kshaffer@gosnold.org by June 1st, 2023.

ROUNDTABLE

B/SPOKE RIDE FOR RECOVERY

Gosnold leadership attended the Substance Abuse and Treatment Roundtable hosted by State Senator Susan Moran at the Falmouth Public Library.

Thank you to everyone who teamed up for our first event of 2023, the Gosnold and B/SPOKE Studios RIDE for Recovery. We raised over $6,500.

Thank you to Senator Moran for the wonderful opportunity. Over 50 professionals from across the district attended this special event to collaborate in the fight against substance use disorder and its stigma.

Special thanks to our amazing instructor and Gosnold Alumni Kaighla Ridge, the team at B/SPOKE Studios, everyone who donated to our event, and to Herren Project and Butler Sporting Goods for sponsoring our event.

THE CHARLIE WILKERSON MEMORIAL DINNER The Charlie Wilkerson Memorial Fund was established by Charlie's family to ensure that families affected by addiction receive the resources, education, and professional guidance needed to manage the challenges of addiction and recovery. Each year, we gather with Gosnold families at Albertos Ristorante in Hyannis to celebrate recovery Thank you to our alumni speakers Trevor McCarthy, Heather DelleCave, and Mike Arakelian for sharing your experience, strength and hope with us.

Special thanks to Joan Arakelian, Mike's mom, for sharing your journey with us and providing hope for families who are struggling.

THE NICHOLAS G. XIARHOS MEMORIAL FUND

Gosnold is honored to be among the list of recipients of The Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Fund's “Keep Living the Dream” grants again this year.

This fund was established in 2009 to honor Corporal Nicholas G. Xhiarhos, a Yarmouth native and US Marine who lost his life while on a rescue mission in Southern Afghanistan.

This year's award ceremony was particularly significant, as it would have been Nick’s 35th birthday. Many thanks to Rep. Steven Xhiarhos and his family for including Gosnold in this beautiful tradition and celebration of Nick’s life.
