Your Support Matters

This is our second year presenting the Martin J. Walsh Alumni Award to a Gosnold alumni who is thriving in our community and is a living example of recovery in action. The award was inaugurated in 2022 in commemoration of our 50th anniversary. It was the perfect opportunity to acknowledge Mayor Walsh’s stealth commitment to helping all people achieve recovery and as a meaningful way to share success stories of our alumni.

Rachael truly exemplifies the intention of the award. A busy mom of three children, Rachael has been in recovery for six years. She values the lessons she learned at Gosnold and continues to use the tools she acquired daily to sustain and evolve her wellbeing.

“Be so grateful you have another chance, that this time, you put your POWER into everything you told yourself you couldn’t do, and do it. I promise, if you have faith, you’ll have it all.”

A Note From Richard Curcuru - We Are Changing Lives

Dear Friends,

Over the past year, Gosnold has maintained its steadfast commitment to excellence in service, patient care, and community engagement. The dedication and hard work of our team, along with the generosity of supporters like you have been instrumental in achieving our mission and upholding the values that define our organization.

In the realm of patient care, Gosnold has consistently strived to provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals facing substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Our clinical teams have shown remarkable resilience and adaptability, notably when faced with unprecedented challenges. Last Spring, a plumbing emergency forced us to close one of our facilities for 2 weeks. Our sta handled this situation with the utmost professionalism, finding a temporary space for 29 patients and putting the

wellbeing and safety of these individuals first, every step of the way.

Furthermore, Gosnold has actively participated in community outreach initiatives, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and substance use prevention. Our ongoing collaborative e orts with organizations like NAMI and the Cape & Islands United Way have strengthened the fabric of the many communities that we serve. It is heartening to witness the positive impact of these initiatives on the lives of individuals and families within our reach.

Financial stewardship has been yet another area in which Gosnold has excelled. Through strategic planning and prudent management, we have maintained a solid financial foundation, which has allowed us to reinvest in our facilities, programs, and personnel. Most importantly, our positive financial position ensures the sustainability of Gosnold's mission in the long term.

As we look ahead, Gosnold remains committed to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence. We understand that challenges may arise, but with a dedicated team and the unwavering support of our community, we are confident in our ability to navigate the evolving landscape of behavioral healthcare.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the entire Gosnold family – our sta , volunteers, donors, and community partners – for their collective e orts and firm commitment to our shared mission. Together, we have made a positive impact on the lives of many, and I am eager to see the continued growth and success that the future holds for Gosnold.

With much gratitude,
