“Our vision is to be the school of choice for our local community, developing successful young people with high aspirations, who show respect for all and endeavour to become the very best that they can be.”
RVHS Bulletin Weekending Friday 17th June 2022 Dear Parent and carers,
1530pts
I would like to welcome everyone back after what I trust was a restful mid-summer break and that you all enjoyed celebrating the Platinum Jubilee. I was happy that I managed to get up to Pall Mall for the People’s Pageant and thoroughly enjoyed the carnival atmosphere and seeing the Queen herself make an appearance on her balcony. Students seemed to have enjoyed a variety of events from street parties, attending the concert and local events. Last week, Mr Cocker did an excellent assembly for the Platinum Jubilee, where students across the school were given a photographic tour of an extraordinary life. This was linked to our theme of the week ‘Gratitude’. Students were shown how all of the life of the Queen has been about dedication, service and endeavour and a wonderful celebration of a promise made at 21 which has been kept for 70 years - you can watch the presentation shared below. There have been numerous Jubilee House Competitions and I trust that memories of the Platinum Jubilee will stay with the students. This week, we held our Student Leadership Interviews and I would like to thank all of our Year 12 students that applied for the positions. The high calibre of applications that we received made selecting the students for the roles extremely difficult. After a very rigorous selection process, I would like to announce that the following students have been appointed as our new Head Boy, Head Girl and their Deputies for the 2022-2023 Academic Year:
