RVHS Parent Bulletin Aspiration Respect Endeavour Friday 7th February 2020
Message from the Headteacher As we approach the upcoming half term break, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students for their continued hard work and all parents/carers for your continued support. This week we held our Year 13 Parents Evening, thank you to all of the parents for attending and as this was the final opportunity to discuss our son/daughters progress before their public exams starting in May. I hope you were able to gain some useful strategies for supporting them in the lead up to these exams.

I would like to remind Year 9 Parents/carers that on Thursday 13th February, we will be holding our Year 9 Options Evening. This is an important evening to gain vital information about our Options Process and to hear how you can support your child in making their course choices for GCSE and to meet with Subject Leaders. This week our students have been learning about Healthy Lifestyles as part of our Character and Culture, one of the topics that have been discussed is the dangers of Vaping. This has become a trend with your people across the country in recent months and we would like to ensure that our students are aware of the dangers and that Roding Valley High School has a zero tolerance for Vape Pens and Vaping. A letter will be sent out to all parents next week with some information relating to the assemblies we have delivered in school regarding the use of Vape Pens and the contents of Vape Pens
