Welcome Welcome to the latest edition of our Maths Bulletin. After perhaps a very tiring half term, I’m sure many of us are looking forward to a well-earned rest. Well done to everyone for continuing to work hard throughout this lockdown! Beginning in the last issue we have started to award House points for the various puzzles and quizzes. You will also be awarded points by taking part in the TT Rockstars Competition as well as the UKMT Maths Challenge. Remember to take part as you could make the difference in helping your House win! Following Wellbeing Wednesday, the Maths faculty have been humbled by the many messages we have received. We have always worked hard to ensure all of our students are supported and we have been pleasantly surprised by the many kind words. Thank you for sending all of those messages! All of our Year 11 students will shortly be receiving a revision pack. From Maths, you will find a revision guide and a set of practice papers. Please do make use of these and if you have any questions contact your class teacher or myself. I wish you all an enjoyable and restful half-term. Well done Hawking House with the most points! Churchill had an early lead with their strong performance in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge, but Pankhurst can catch up if they continue their phenomenal performance at the TT Rockstars Competition. But everything could change once the results come out for UKMT Intermediate Challenge! Remember, you can all help your House by completing puzzles and quizzes in the bulletin. 2|Page

Student Work We are very pleased with the quality of the work that is being completed at home. Whilst we do not have the space to show all work that is being completed, here is a small selection.
Excellent work on properties of quadrilaterals by Arthur, Chloe and Hannah in Year 7. Mr Edeko was very impressed!

TT Rockstars Welcome back to this year’s TT Rockstars Times Table Challenge!! Well done to everybody who is taking part. The goal is to collect Coins by completing the times table challenges in any of the Gigs. Every week the Top 5 students with the most Coins collected for that week will earn House Points! Points on offer are as follows: 1st place 50 points, 2nd place 40 points, 3rd place 30 points, 4th place 20 points, 5th place 10 points.
