FELLOW CATTLEMEN! WELCOME
We are excited to welcome you back for our 4th annual Premium Power Beefmaster Bull Sale on Friday November 7th, 2025. There are some very big changes for 2025 including the new sale location is now in OKEECHOBEE, Florida. The sale is located in the heart of cattle country at the Cattlemen’s Market of Okeechobee. Many have asked and now as an added bonus we will have the ability to run the bulls through the sale ring! The Premium Power Partners are a group of like-minded Beefmaster breeders from across the south, who have come together to create a sale specifically for the business minded cattleman and their bull needs. Whether you are needing a purebred seedstock bull, or looking to utilize Beefmaster genetics in your commercial operation, we have the bulls to help you succeed. Our genetics have been seen throughout the south for generations and continue to succeed and demand value for their calves. We have put together an impressive line up of Beefmaster bulls. Our bulls are developed on a high roughage and forage based ration along the gulf coast and are built on maternal strength that holds up under pressure. These bulls are built on years of maternal based selection and their daughters will not disappoint, while their sons will smash the scales. In today’s times of EPD’s galore some breeds and programs have forgotten about the most important part of their herd, the momma cow. Let our bulls put a maternal punch into your program! All bulls have their full performance data, residual feed intake data (RFI) and they are backed by our top of the line herd health testing protocol including a BSE. The bulls will be available for viewing starting Thursday, November 6th in Okeechobee. Please join us on Thursday evening for a delicious dinner and fellowship at the Cattlemen’s Market of Okeechobee. If you have any questions about the bulls, their development, or delivery please feel free to contact us. More information will be available on our website www. premiumpowerbullsale.com.
We Look forward to visiting with you in Okeechobee!
Within 24 hours of birth, every calf has a birth weight collected and tagged with identification number.
3-4 MONTHS OLD
Bulls are dehorned if needed, vaccinated with Triangle 5 and Vision 8 and dewormed.
6-8 MONTHS OLD
Bulls are branded, weaning weights collected, vaccinated again with Bovi-Shield Gold 5 and Vision 8 and dewormed. Once weaned bulls are placed on high roughage grower ration and evaluated for culling at this time.
8-12 MONTHS OLD
At this time bulls enter the feed efficiency portion of the bull test. Every bulls goes through the C-Lock SmartFeed efficiency test system at the Southern Beef Performance Center at Etheridge Cattle Company. After the 30 day warmup period the bulls are tested for a 75+ day period for RFI, FCR and ADG on a roughage based ration designed to target 3.5 ADG. After
the test period is over the bulls are then carcass ultrasounded for REA, IMF and Rib Fat measurements. We also obtain their yearling weights, scrotal circumference and sort any culls at this time.
12 MONTHS – SALE TIME
Bulls are turned out into large grass traps while being supplemented with the grower ration to condition the bulls for service. Multimin 90 is given 45 days before breeding soundness exams which are taken 60 days before sale day.

EPD - EXPECTED PROGENY DIFFERENCE
Expected Progeny Difference is an estimate of an animals genetic merit for a particular trait. This allows for comparison of animals within the breed for their genetic potential as parents. EPD’s take into account the animals own performance compared to their contemporaries and the performance of their relatives compared to their contemporaries. Depending on your environment bigger is not always better.
CONT. - CONTEMPORARY GROUP
Contemporary Group is a group of animals that have had an equal opportunity to perform - same sex, management and environmental conditions.
ACC - ACCURACY
EPD accuracy refers to the reliability that can be placed on the EPD. An accuracy close to 1 indicates higher reliability.
RATIO
A ratio is the performance of an individual animal relative to the average performance of his contemporaries. A ratio of 100% is average, while a ratio of 105% is 5% above herd average, and a ratio of 95% is 5% below herd average. The lowest birth weights will have the highest ratios. The higher the number the better.
CED EPD - CALVING EASE DIRECT
Presented as the percent of an animal’s calves that will be born unassisted over the population average. Higher calving ease direct scores represent more unassisted births and are considered superior. Note that this is opposite of the birth weight EPD in which lower EPDs generally represent fewer unassisted births.
BW EPD - BIRTH WEIGHT
Expressed in pounds, a predictor of calf size compared to other sires. The lower the number the better.
WW EPD - WEANING WEIGHT
Expressed in pounds, predicts growth potential from birth till weaning compared to other sires. The higher the number the better.
HOW TO READ THE CATALOG
YW EPD - YEARLING WEIGHT
Expressed in pounds, predicts growth potential from weaning until yearling between sires. The higher the number the better.
MILK EPD - MILK
A predictor of a sire’s genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters compared to daughters out of other sires.
TM EPD - TOTAL MATERNAL
A prediction of the total contribution of a sire’s daughter to calf performance. The higher the number the better.
SC EPD - SCROTAL CIRCUMFERENCE
Expressed in centimeters, a predictor of the difference of scrotal size compared to other sires. The higher the number the better.
REA EPD - RIBEYE AREA
Expressed in square inches, a predictor of the difference in ribeye area size. The higher the number the better.
%IMF EPD - INTRAMUSCULAR FAT
Expressed as a percentage, a predictor of the difference for percent intramuscular fat (marbling) in the ribeye muscle. The higher the number the better.
($M) EPD - MATERNAL INDEX
Is designed to balance weaning weight with maintenance and fertility. Index includes BW, WW, Milk, YW and SC. The higher the number the better.
($T) EPD - TERMINAL INDEX
Is designed for when cows are mated in a terminal system. Index includes YW, REA, IMF and Fat. The higher number the better.
($FE) EPD - FEED EFFICIENCY INDEX
Balances post weaning growth with the RFI EPD. Designed to select for animals that excel in feed efficiency and post weaning growth. The higher the number the better.
CALVING EASE
5 star (the easiest calving bulls, breed to first time heifers). 4 star (breed to larger frame more developed first time heifers) 3 stars or less (breed to mature cows only)
MATERNAL
Estimate of maternal efficiency NOT milk. The bulls are scored from 1 to 5 stars. Five star bulls will produce the most profitable and good uddered cows in the industry. Based on calving intervals, udder quality, and mothering ability.
EFFICIENCY
This refers to post weaning gain, conversion, and residual feed intake. Scored from 1 to 5 stars, where 5 star bulls will produce efficient easy keeping replacement females and top end profitable feeder calves.
CARCASS
Balanced combination of ribeye area and intramuscular fat (marbling).
DISP.- DISPOSITION
Scored from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. 3 star bulls are best suited for big country.
RFI - RESIDUAL FEED INDEX
Actual RFI data obtained from our feed efficiency portion of the bull test. RFI is defined as the difference between an animals actual feed intake and its expected feed intake based on size and growth. The lower the number the better.
$P - $ PREMIUM
An accumulation of average daily gain, feed conversion ratio and residual feed intake. The higher the number the better.
