IDEOLOGY

In our world, religion certainly plays a big role. Today we are used to not noticing this, that’s why we are very used to it, but its influence is literally everywhere. Despite the obvious influence of religion, very little attention is paid to it. The lack of an objective perception of religions creates conflicts in society. It all starts with education; schools often lack such a subject as religious studies and many are very opposed to it, although this subject would help children from an early age to better perceive and analyze this world, for example, not to be afraid of women in hijabs or to respect various religious minorities. By instilling in children tolerance, mutual understanding, and the ability to respect the choices of others, we could create a calmer and happier society.

The religions of the world are united not so much by God as by the Good - the sweet harmony of peace, love and mutual understanding.

Diversity of religions is of particular importance and is often mentioned in the Holy Quran as another blessing created by Allah. Without diversity there would be no harmony. Restrictions on freedom of religion are unacceptable. This principle is reflected in the verse of the Koran: “There is no compulsion in religion” Koran, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 256).

TERRITORY ANALYSIS

The design site is located on the territory of the abandoned military airfield “Pristan” in Telyakovsky Bay, Peter the Great Bay, between Vladivostok, Artyom and Bolshoi Kamen. This territory is under threat; on the site of tourist hiking routes, in one of the few remaining clean bays of the Primorye Territory, they are going to build a coal terminal. I propose my project as an alternative that would not only help save the nature of the Primorsky Territory, but would also improve the cultural, social and educational activities of the region.

Art objects are guides or assistants that encourage some to think about the essence of existence, and others to relax and simply contemplate. They form a meditative route, which is a guide from the world of bustle and anxiety to the abode of calm and tranquility.

As the route progresses, a person will calm down, experience the harmony of silence and sound, light and shadow, see what he usually does not notice in the world around him or within himself, plunge into his thoughts or, on the contrary, let go of everything that worries him. At the end of this path is the spiritual center

SPIRITUAL CENTER

The spiritual center is a small complex of 9 minimalist temples. They represent 9 world religions: Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Yoruba, Taoism, Judaism, Orthodoxy and Baha’i. Each temple contains the minimum necessary functions to perform basic rituals.

Mini-temples are located on a single foundation. Water channels run between them. This arrangement draws attention to the unity of religions, not forgetting that each of them is unique and unlike the other. Here friends - representatives of different religions, will be able to introduce each other to their customs, find out how they are similar and different. This is a dialogue of religions.

A multifunctional complex of two autonomous blocks united by a gallery. Open public spaces are recessed to the 1st floor so that strong Far Eastern winds do not interfere with comfortable living in the fresh air.

The center is designed to host international and all-Russian conferences on theology, and in normal times it is a cultural and social center where you can visit a new exhibition, work in a co-working space with your friends or colleagues, attend master classes and lectures, or have a good time with everyone take your family out into the countryside and into nature and learn something new and interesting at the Museum of Religions.

The main exhibition of the museum tells about the foundations of every world religion. Thanks to the museum, people will begin to understand different religions and become more tolerant of their representatives.

• Conducting all-Russian and international conferences on theology, relations between religions, education, etc.

• Children’s center, designed for children of different ages. Introducing children to theology and exposure to different religions from an early age develops analytical thinking and tolerance in children.

• The cultural center provides space for various temporary exhibitions. The museum houses the permanent exhibition “History of World Religions”.

• The conference hall is intended not only for conferences, but also for concerts. Due to the movable acoustic partition, you can create 2 separated rooms or one large one.

• Proximity to nature encourages healthy relaxation and improved mental health of visitors.

After an exciting conference, you can relax on the seashore, stroll through a wheat field or walk along the hills enjoying the beauty of the Primorsky Territory. Everything that we miss so much in the urban environment.

HOTEL*

Minimalistic design relaxes and allows you to concentrate on nature, your inner world or thinking about the problem of existence.

Such a space is well suited for a retreat, pilgrimage or business trip in connection with an international conference on theology. *Hotel development is not included in the project
