Goldencare Teak Shield 1L
An almost invisible wood impregnator that makes it difficult for wine, olive oil or butter to seep into teak. Also very suitable for the protection of indoor wooden furniture.
Stained Furniture Oil
• Helps to prevent stains while keeping the natural look of the surface.
Super simple to apply, just wipe the stained oil on with a brush or rag, wait a few minutes for it to soak into the wood & then wipe off the excess - easy as!

Recommended for our Miami collection, the use of this redbrown coloured hardwood protector maintains the natural, redbrown colour of tropical hardwoods for longer . After applying this Hardwood Protector, we strongly recommend treating the surface with our Teak & Hardwood Shield to prevent stains. • Classified as non-hazardous.
Super simple to apply, just wipe the clear Teak oil on with a brush or rag, wait a few minutes for it to soak into the wood & then wipe off the excess - easy as! Since the finish is in the wood, the clear Teak oil protects from within. Please Note: Don’t let the name fool you, this clear oil can be used on more than just Teak outdoor furniture!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS OUTDOOR COLLECTION You’ve created your outdoor setting of dreams (yay!) so, what next?! Whilst your outdoor furniture is crafted with the highest quality, weatherproof materials - you still need to protect your investment from the harsh kiwi elementse. Here’s a few of our top tips:
TEAK BEST SUITED FOR: Sun soaked decks and patios. BEFORE FIRST USE: To protect the Teak top, we suggest to use Golden Care Teak Shield to provide a level of dirt & moisture repelling. The existing patina finish needs no initial treatment, over time it will continue to grey, this is not a fault. If you wish to maintain the original colour of the teak for longer and slow down greying process, then use the Golden Care Teak Protector. AFTER EACH USE: To keep your outdoor settings looking fresh, it is recommended to bring cushions inside or store in a cushion box.
WICKER BEST SUITED FOR: Outdoor areas protected from long exposure to sun. Using umbrellas or sun-shades is an easy way to provide shade for yourself and the furniture. AFTER EACH USE: To prolong the life of the wicker setting, it is recommended to bring cushions inside or store in a cushion box, and use a furniture cover to protect the wicker from the harsh sun.
TO CLEAN FURNITURE: 1. Remove all cushions. 2. Use a garden hose to completely wash down furniture. 3. Mix together a cleaning solution such as mild soap and lukewarm water. 4. Use a soft bristle brush to gently clean the furniture. 5. Wash it down again using water until all the soap is gone. 6. Air dry outside. 7. Once dry, rub in an oil specifically for Teak timber.
TO CLEAN WICKER FURNITURE: 1. Remove all cushions. 2. Use a garden hose (do not use a pressure washer) to completely wash down furniture. 3. Mix together a cleaning solution use a mild soap and lukewarm water. 4. Use a soft bristle brush to gently clean the furniture. 5. Wash it down again using water until all the soap is gone. 6. Air dry outside.

When not in use store away from direct sunlight. TO CLEAN FURNITURE: 1. Remove any cushions. 2. Use a garden hose to completely wash down chairs. 3. Mix together a cleaning solution such as mild soap and lukewarm water. 4. Use a soft bristle brush to gently clean the furniture. 5. Wash it down again using water until all the soap is gone. 6. AFTER EACH USE: To keep your aluminium setting looking fresh, it is recommended to bring cushions inside or store in a cushion box, and cover the aluminium frame. Cushions left outside for sustained periods will potentially fade.

To prolong the life of wooden outdoor furniture, it is recommended to rub in an outdoor furniture oil. Available from Target or any hardware store. Periodically re oil to ensure the timber does not dry out.
Timber is a natural material, small checking cracks in the surface as the timber expands and contracts in varying weather conditions is considered normal and not a fault.

AFTER EACH USE: To prolong the life of the GRC setting, use a furniture cover to protect the setting from the harsh sun. Wipe down GRC tables & periodically treat with Golden Care Stone Cleaner as a specialist stone cleaner to enhance dirt & moisture resistance.
3. Mix together a cleaning solution such as mild soap and lukewarm water. 4. Use a soft bristle brush to gently clean the furniture. 5. Wash it down again using water until all the soap is gone. 6. Air dry outside. 7. Once dry, rub in an oil specifically for outdoor furniture. NOW AND THEN: Regular oiling will protect the timber from the harsh outdoor environment. Every 6 months, it is recommended to re-tighten the screws, especially on dining chairs and benches.
TO CLEAN GRC FURNITURE: 1. Remove all cushions. 2. Use a soft damp cloth to wipe down. 3. Mop any spills up immediately to avoid staining the surface as it is absorbant. 4. Target recommends the Golden Care Stone Protector to preserve the colour and the Golden Care Stone Cleaner to prolong the colour/life of your GRC setting. 5. Do not use acid cleaners or pressure washers as they will damage the surface of the product. 6. Air dry outside.
WINTERISING YOUR OUTDOOR FURNITURE: If space is available, it’s ideal to move your furniture into a sheltered location such as your garage. If this isn’t practical, consolidate pieces into the smallest possible space, remove any cushions to store indoors or use a cushion box, and cover the setting with a high quality outdoor cover. The best outdoor covers have air vents that let air circulate, preventing mould and mildew from growing. 35
