Dear KREIA Members and Friends, Yay, yippee, heck yeah, ’bout time and hallelujah! These are just a few of my thoughts today while listening to optimistic predictions and news of vaccination statistics. The COVID pandemic may be headed for the rear-view mirror. And the U.S. and world economies come raging back as the world resumes where it left off just over Chris McCarty one year ago. Unemployment is falling, mask mandates are being lifted, and the business segments that were most adversely affected by the shutdowns are beginning to feel the optimism and changes in consumer behavior and spending. The U.S. government printing presses are pumping additional trillions through quantitative easing and stimulus checks to individuals, corporations, cities and states, and anything else deemed to be in trouble. No one knows for certain, and it’s difficult to say, what the long-term challenges created by this government spending will be for the future, but this is the current U.S. monetary program. Keep your fingers crossed that this program works long-term! As real estate investors involved in all aspects of the market, we have mostly been immune to any pandemic-related financial fallout. Everything I hear and read says that for 2021 and 2022, real estate will continue to prosper: limited inventory, low interest rates and very high demand will continue to produce very positive outcomes for all investing venues. If you are on the sidelines, jump in and get started. If you need help, attend our events, reach out, participate, or raise your hand. KREIA is here to help, and we have many tools and resources available to help the membership succeed. We have been advertising that the March 25th main meeting will hopefully be the last Zoom-only meeting as we begin to open up as a group to public gatherings Continued on Page 38
