THE CITIZENS OF SOUTH-AFRICA are reflecting on June 16, the lives that were lost in Soweto 1976. Today 44 years ago we still feel the reverberation of freedom echoing in our hearts every time we stand up for justice and freedom. We are no different than those 500 youths that were killed on June 16, 1976. Because our fight remains their fight it is the fight that we want to be treated not only equal but with equity and dignity. We see youths in Washington, New York, Berlin and London taking to the streets marching in solidarity saying black people must be treated as equals. They are saying black lives matter!
