I feel the pleasant scent of damp soil. The glittering raindrops are shining on the leaves. Here are some juicy leaves! I want to take a bite, so let me get close to them. “Ugh! I’m all wet, as if I’ve just had a bath!“ “Ha ha ha!”- an earthworm laughed.

The snail raised his eye stalks so he could see who was laughing at him.

STIMULATING QUESTIONS  Continue the story. What happened next? What forest dwellers joined the snail and earthworm?

 Invite your friends so that together you may finish the story and act it out.  How can you protect yourself from the rain if you don’t have an umbrella?  Do you know any stories where rain is mentioned? A hedgehog came by: “Oh, what is this? Is this an apple? No, it isn’t!”

ДК ДГК TREE ИП On a tree lived a blackbird and a tit. Each of the two birds made a nest of

her own. The blackbird said: “My nest is more beautiful than yours!” КСИ The tit said: “No, my nest is more beautiful! I made it from soft dry grass.

My baby birds will feel warm when they are hatched.”

A woodpecker arrived flying. “Your nests are beautiful, but if you saw my nest, you would know what ultimate beauty is! It is in a tree hollow. I made the hollow by myself. Look!”

From under the foot of the tree, a mole was heard: “My nest is under the tree, underground! It is the most comfortable one!”

Then a fox appeared from somewhere: “What’s all that noise there?! My nest, my nest! My den is the warmest!”

Eventually, the tree spoke up: All right, my dear dwellers, everyone believes their own nest to be the most beautiful. But in order to live in harmony, we must establish some house rules and respect them. What rules of conduct do you propose?

STIMULATING QUESTIONS  Continue this story. What rules of conduct did the tree dwellers propose?  Invite your friends so you can act out a conversation among the tree dwellers.  With your teacher, create a stage in your kindergarten where you will perform your play.

 Establish house rules for your kindergarten.

 With an adult person, plant a tree in your yard. Water it and care for it. Track its growth.

 Go and visit the nearest park. What trees grow in it? What are leaves like on those trees? What is bark like on those trees?

 Make pictures out of the leaves you have gathered. Organize an exhibition of pictures.

 Gather the fruits: cones, walnuts, hazelnuts, acorns, etc. What things can you make from those fruits? First draw what you want to make.

 Ask a biology teacher from the nearest school to tell you some interesting

things about the life of a tree. Try to find out why air is cleaner where there are trees.

 With your teacher, go and visit the nearest library. Find an interesting book about trees.

She is looking through the closed window and saying to her doll Sara: “Sara, we will soon be at the seaside! I have prepared two colourful swimsuits for you. You will also have a nice towel for the beach.”

“I can’t wait to go swimming!” – says Sara and smiles.

“Why am I not allowed to walk a bit farther from all of you? I would like to run alone.”

“You must not go far from us. You could be attacked by a lion or some other beast. We are protecting you. Our entire herd is protecting you.”

“Why am I not allowed to bathe in the river as much as I want to?”

“Because we must all go to the river together. We drink water, bathe, and go in search of food together.”

“Why are those flies such an annoyance? They keep biting me.”

“The flies will always be an annoyance. You have a tail, big ears, and a trunk, so use these to fight them off.”

 Act this story out in your kindergarten, all of you together. Make masks for characters from it.

 With your teacher, find some interesting information about elephants: where they live, what they eat, what they use their trunks for, etc.

 An African elephant can grow as tall as four metres and as wide as five metres. Could such an elephant get into your room? Measure to see whether this is possible.

MILK STIMULATING QUESTIONS

In a village, Aya the sheep gave birth to three lambs. Two of them could suckle her milk. But for the lamb called Masha, there was not enough milk.

A girl named Milica loved all three lambs in equal measure. The small lambs were white, tender, and liked being caressed.

Lamb Masha was always hungry and sad.

Milica came up with an idea. She took a baby bottle, filled it with the milk that she herself had drunk and placed a nipple onto it. She gave it to Masha to drink.

Masha could hardly wait. As soon as she saw Milica carrying the milk bottle, she would joyfully run to her. She drank milk and grew with her brother and sister.

BOOK In the kindergarten, the teacher said: “If you have your favourite picture books at home, please bring them to school tomorrow”.

Maya brought Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Philip brought Princess and the Pea. Yana brought Little Red Riding Hood.

The teacher read one book by one to the children, while everyone listened attentively.

Then they talked about what they liked in those stories and how they imagined their heroes.

Philip suggested: “Let us all together make a picture book of our own!”

“All right!” – the children agreed delightedly.

“Let us first invent a story.”

And so, all together, they set out to invent a story.

STIMULATING QUESTIONS  Invent the story and its title. What happened in the story? Who are the heroes of that story?

 Reach an agreement on how you are going to illustrate the story. Then your teacher and your parents will help you make the picture book.

EMOTIONS A little lion was afraid of the dark. When it went to bed, it asked its mum: “What’s that over there in the dark?”

“Ah! I thought it was something else. And what about that over there, at the door, in the dark?”

“That’s daddy’s fishing tackle. You know that’s where he always leaves it.”

“I know. I thought it was... And what’s that sound? Whoo, whoo! – like someone howling...”

“That is wind blowing, so it can be heard. In the dark everything is the same in the daytime. It’s time to sleep, son. Sleep now!”

The little lion wanted to ask something else, but it just looked at the dark and soon fell asleep.

STIMULATING QUESTIONS  Come up with the questions that the little lion wanted to ask its mum. And what else was it afraid of in the dark? Share the roles. Let one of you be the mum and one of you the little lion, and then act out this conversation.

What would the little lion ask its dad, brother or sister if they were with him? Would it be any less afraid then?

 Why do you think so?  What sounds are frightening to you? What sounds are pleasant to you?

What sounds make you laugh? Produce these sounds.

 Let everyone laugh in their own way.  Let everyone show how they get angry.  How do we behave to someone we love?  In your opinion, what is love? Ana approached the window and saw several sparrows on the fence under the window. Their feathers were raised and they were nudging one another.

It looked as though they were trying to position themselves as well as they could under the window. “Take it easy, little sparrows, I know you are hungry! Don’t worry, I will bring enough breadcrumbs for all of you!”

 Continue this story. What did Ana bring to the sparrows? What happened after that?
