They’re those people who are ready to serve no matter the time of day, no matter the weather, no matter the reason. They are emergency workers, people who answer the call when people are in need, whether it’s to fight crime, put out a fire, dispatch emergency personnel or rescue a cat from a tree.
In this special section we take a look at some of the people in our communities who give of themselves so that our lives might be better, safer, more full.
