Pražský podzim A Prague autumn Ukázka elektronické knihy, UID: KOS506886
Když vstoupí podzim do Prahy, začíná nejvýživnější sezóna pražských fotografů. A aby toho nebylo málo, ráno se řeka začne halit do mlhy a slunce bojující s říční párou prosvítá v magických paprscích.
When autumn arrives in Prague, the most profitable season for Prague photographers begins. It is the most picturesque, most colourful and most photogenic period of the year in Prague. One need not get up so early to catch the morning sun. The light also grows softer, becoming compliant and pleasant. The sun does not rise that high in the sky, but is also not as sharp and unfriendly as in the summer. The trees turn red, yellow and autumn brown. The time for Petřín has arrived, the miraculous hill in the middle of the ancient city, whose colour scheme competes with the more classic Prague panorama of the castle. The banks and islands on the Vltava look like a painter’s pallet. And if that were not enough, the river begins to be cloaked in mist in the morning and the sun struggling with the river steam lights up in the magical rays. You can only wait and place a bet as to whether the sun will win or whether the thick clouds decide to keep it concealed all day long. When the sun succeeds, one can observe long shadows which form picturesque pictures on the cobblestones of the Prague streets as was the case a hundred or even a thousand years ago. Falling leaves cover the paths in the Prague parks. Kites wave in the wind. The most magical are the autumn graveyards. When dust whirls between the gravestones in the autumn colours. It is autumn. Prague slows down and seemingly grows more silent. The days shorten. Prague prepares for Christmas and for winter.
