THE FUTURE HEROES OF GROOVYDANCY

GroovyDancy is a platform created by dancers for dancers. A platform where everyone can freely express their doubts, opinions or ideas and find support. It was created in 2020, in the middle of the lockdown, from a necessity of deepening the knowledge about dance and making it accessible to everyone. Before creating this platform, the founding members realized that they were missing a place where dancers could identify themselves, expand their knowledge and get inspired.

They began by interviewing a variety of artists from around the world, who could advice and inspire others by sharing stories from their professional experiences. In addition to these stories, GroovyDancy also provides sustainable initiatives to help dancers with practical matters, such as finding housing for dancers from abroad.Their ultimate goal is to see a dance industry that is less exclusive and more inclusive, that provides less uncertainties and more securities, that cares about its dancers and doesn’t try to exploit them. A community of dancers that will support each other.

In the future, GroovyDancy hopes to build a community where dancers can find support for all their needs: practical help, guidance, inspiration, education, and information. GroovyDancy aims to become a point of reference for dancers, where they can recognize themselves and feel empowered to fight against injustices to build a safer dance community.

Since September 2021, Korzo has started collaborating regularly with GroovyDancy. High time to get to know this platform and what better way to do this than through their typical Instagram design.
