Legally Blonde JR. is a high-energy musical following Elle Woods, a sorority girl who overcomes stereotypes to conquer Harvard Law School. After being dumped by her boyfriend, Warner, for not being "serious," Elle wins a coveted internship, defends fitness queen Brooke Wyndham, and discovers that being true to herself is her greatest strength.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of working with students across all year levels, from our youngest performers in ELC through to our Year 12 cohort.

Whilst each group presents its own challenges and rewards, returning to work with our middle school students this year has been especially rewarding, highlighting the energy, enthusiasm and commitment they bring to the stage.

The lively atmosphere of rehearsals each Monday and Wednesday afternoon was a constant source of joy. The eager rush to sign in, followed by thoughtful questions and animated conversation, served as a reminder of the excitement that underpins the Performing Arts experience at Korowa.

Legally Blonde began as a 2001 novel by Amanda Brown, before becoming a much-loved film starring Reese Witherspoon and later a Broadway musical in 2007. Beneath its vibrant, high-energy exterior lies a timeless message of self-belief, integrity and the courage to stand firm in your values. As Vivienne reminds us, “being true to yourself never goes out of style.”

While tonight’s production celebrates these themes of individuality, friendship and challenging expectations, it also represents something much more for each of these students. It’s months, days and hours of dedication to rehearsals, juggling academics and commitments, navigating and forming friendships, pushing beyond their comfort zone and working together to achieve a common goal. Whilst the performance evenings are the cherry on top, the true depth of this experience for each student lies in the layers beneath that cherry.

Thank you to the cast and crew of Legally Blonde Jr., Together, we have created something that celebrates finding your voice, forging your own path, and discovering your strength both on and off the stage.

Cast Biographies

Elle Woods

Emmett Forrest

Warner Huntington

Liza is incredibly excited to be performing as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde Jr. at Korowa.

She has a strong passion for the performing arts and especially loves being on stage, as well as teaching and supporting younger students. Liza has been involved in dance for many years, with a particular focus on calisthenics, where she has developed strength, discipline, and confident stage presence.

Tia is thrilled to be a part of Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. and is excited to once again take on a male role as Emmett, continuing her unofficial streak of playing “the boys”. She has previously appeared as Rooster in Annie and Snyder in Newsies and enjoys the challenge and creativity that comes with stepping into these characters. Emmett is full of determination and heart, and Tia has loved bringing his journey and personality to life. Tia has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside such an amazing cast and crew, all of whom have made this experience inspiring and unforgettable. Tia would like to thank all the music and drama staff especially Ms Ward and Ms Tanner for their trust, encouragement and guidance throughout. She also extends her gratitude to her family and friends for all their encouragement. She hopes you enjoy the show.

Lily is ecstatic to be cast in Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. She recently performed in Korowa’s School Production of Newsies Jr and Annie.

She has loved developing her skills and really leaning into the role of Warner; and discovering the strength of personality and individuality explored through this musical. Being involved in this production has allowed her to further her love of performing arts and connect with her peers and people from other year levels.

She enjoyed the entire experience and is so excited for the show! Lily wants to thank all the staff members for making the show happen, and her peers and family for supporting her along the journey of rehearsals, and of course; the rest of the cast, for making her feel welcome every day. She hopes you enjoy the show!

She trains at Jeaden Calisthenics College, one of Australia’s leading clubs and attends High Kick Dance, where she competes regularly and is preparing to travel to Queensland for nationals later this year. Taking on the role of Elle has been a highlight, allowing Liza to explore themes of confidence, determination and staying true to yourself.

She has loved working with the cast and watching the production come together.

Liza would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for their ongoing support and hopes you enjoy the show.

Darcey is thrilled to play Vivienne in Legally Blonde Jr. Her love of theatre began with Korowa’s Annie Jr, where she played Grace Farrell.

She has appeared in The Music Man, Into the Woods Jr, and Australian premiere of SIX: Teen Edition. Trained in musical theatre, jazz, ballet, and tap with the Australian Academy of Dance; Darcey can’t wait to take to the stage as iconic Vivienne.

Ruby is extremely grateful to be in Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. She’s developed her acting skills in the role of Professor Callahan and pushed herself out of her comfort zone to play this character to the best of her ability. Ruby is thankful to her mum, friends, and the amazing staff to make Legally Blonde an experience no one will forget, with great lots of great memories along the way!

Bella is looking forward to being part of Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. Though her first principal role in a production, Bella has previously taken part in Korowa’s previous production, Newsies Jr. The production has introduced her to so many new experiences that she is so grateful to share with her peers and everyone who has supported them.

Bella hopes that everyone will enjoy watching the show as much as she had working on it.

Lucia is thrilled to be playing Brooke Wyndham in Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. She has loved bringing Brooke’s vibrant energy to life on stage and connecting with her fellow cast members.

This role has been an exciting opportunity to grow her passion for performing arts.

She thanks her family, peers, and the production team for all their support.

Izobel is very excited to be part of Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. She has previously performed in Korowa’s Newsies Jr and Annie Jr. She has enjoyed developing her skill set, extending herself in the role of Kate, and creating new friends throughout the show.

Being part of this production has really furthered her love for performing arts. Izobel would like to thank her friend as well as the staff for making this show possible and creating such amazing memories along the way!

Millie is a loving, loyal and devoted member of Helena Ngu’s family (Yr 8, the “Judge”). For the first 3 years of her life Millie thoroughly enjoyed her time as a house dog with long walks at the park, many cuddles and late sleep-ins. However this year, in her quieter moments, she began dreaming of a life under bright lights on the big stage in musical theatre, so she “RUFFED” out a plan for success by auditioning for Legally Blonde Jr. for her theatrical debut. Millie, known for her fetch abilities, and uncontrollable case of the zoomies, has truly bonded with the high energy, song and dance loving Korowa girls.

In fact, we now suspect that musical theatre was just a ploy to get in with the Korowa crowd. Her parents, Jess and Charles, could not be more proud.

Clementine is excited to take on the role of Margot in Korowa’s 2026 production of Legally Blonde Jr. Outside of school Clementine enjoys performing with different theatre companies. Some of her previous roles include young Fiona in Shrek, young Anna in Frozen, young Louise in Gypsy, Jane Banks in Mary Poppins and most recently Sharpay in High School Musical. Clementine has enjoyed rehearsing with her fellow peers and is thrilled to see Legally Blonde Jr. come to life on the stage!

Emma is very excited to be cast in Korowa’s production of Legally Blonde Jr. Three years ago, she performed as Molly in Korowa’s school production of Annie Jr. She has really enjoyed bringing the role of Serena to life and exploring the themes of friendship and perseverance throughout the show. Being part of this production has helped grow her love for performing and allowed her to meet and work with so many amazing people. Emma would like to thank her parents, friends, and the cast and crew for their support and for making this such a fun and memorable experience.

Ariana is thrilled to be a part of Korowa’s Legally Blonde Jr. production. She first developed her love for musical theatre through last-year’s Korowa JS performance of Frozen Jr. As of now, Ariana is delighted to play the part of Pilar and is already looking forward to her next chance to participate in a Korowa musical. She wants to thank all the brilliant staff that helped make this show possible, and congratulate the cast of Legally Blonde for a great show!
