What do you want to achieve in the Plusweeks?

Why is this relevant?

The question that i want to answer is, How can i make an art object that can visualize what i experienced I had in the hospital?

I like to make a work that is close to me. The 1st plan i made was good but i felt i wanted to make something that is more personal.

The feeling i had from the spinal anesthesia was weird, painful and fun-ish. I got so fascinated. You get an injection and 5 min later you don’t feel your legs anymore.

I want to create an art piece that visualize the feeling i had when i got a spinal anesthesia.

In which way do you give insight in your progress (dummy – process)

I need to go search to deferent materials. How can i visualize the feeling? I need to find answers for that question.

Make tests with different materials and different methods.

Search what the feeling is of the spinal Anastasia.

I am going to present a research of the feeling that my spinal asastasia gave me. I am going to make 3 different tests to visualize the feeling. After that use one of them to continue with. I want to have a solid thing that i can use in further designs.

I am going to present the result of the research and witch direction i want to continue with.

When I was in the hospital for my surgery I god a spinal anastasia. The feeling of this kept me thinking. I wanted to research the feeling of the anastasia.

I tried to create a visual feeling with the metal dust.

The feeling of the dust is agrassive like the anastasia but for me its not the feeling that I am looking for.

I wanted to intject ecoline into the water. So I tried to fill dubble glas with water. It went well till it was almost full then the glas broke of the presure.

In the beginning i was to focused on the injection it self. After talking with people i realized i need to take the injection as a starting point. The feeling of the injection as a starting point.

After making all tests there was 1 methode i really liked the most. The colors. I think the way how the colors are looking are a really good visual of the feeling.

I want to continiue with the colors to create a product or a art object.

Fun but frustration I really liked the idea of making your own plan. The way we can plan our own things are so much fun. I also had a lot of fun making the research. But the first two weeks where just really frustrated for me.

Laying in bed and not able to make something. I think I did good to change my plan. I had way more fun the last weeks of making the research. I am also really happy with the reasult because I think the colors are a really good visual of the feeling I had.

JUST TRY I think i should try more. Test things out. I am really thinking something out before I start trying. I think it’s good for me to just try.

ASK MORE I should ask more. In the beginning i was a little afrait to ask questions. To teachers and students. I think that is the only way how you can learn something.

ACCEPT WHAT’S HAPPENING Last week I was really frustated by the fact that I didn’t have the result I wanted. It’s not that I didn’t worked hard enought but it’s because of being not able to make stuf because of the surgery.

I really hate that.
