Krynica-Zdrój is a popular resort in the south of Poland, on the border between the Beskid Sądecki and the Low Beskids. Although it was created several hundreds years ago as a village under the Vlach law by the Kryniczanka Stream, thanks to its mineral waters, it quickly developed into an attractive resort. Great artists and famous personalities visited the place for many years. Krynica lies at the foot of Jaworzyna Krynicka (1,114 m) and is surrounded by the Beskid forests. Park Mountain (742 m) towers over Deptak (a promenade). This location creates
an exceptional climate and gives a lot of possibilities for hiking and doing sports, either winter or summer ones. It constitutes a great starting point if you want to hit panoramic hiking and cycling trails. You may also go for a walk along a path in the treetops or climb a panoramic platform. In the town itself, you can admire spa architecture including wooden villas, the modern Mineral Water Pump Room and interesting museums. This popular spot is a great tourist base – you will find accommodation of various standards and numerous restaurants there.
Kościuszko Guesthouse*** is located in the centre of Krynica-Zdrój, by a quiet and peaceful street on the edge of the Spa Park. The location is perfect for those who come to the spa in order to rest and take advantage of a beneficial, mountain climate but want to have its greatest attractions at their fingertips. The Main Mineral Water
Pump Room is 300 m away. The down station of Parkowa Mountain Funicular, whose retro trains will take you to the top of Parkowa Mountain in a few minutes, is 600 m away. At the top there is a modernised restaurant with panoramic terraces from where one can admire the spa and nearby forests of the Poprad Landscape Park.
Kościuszko Guesthouse*** is an extremely cosy, family facility. Every room is a bit different – they differ in colours and decor, but all of them are warm. They have been renovated recently but the unique vibe of an old guesthouse and an intimate atmosphere have been preserved.
2- and 3-person rooms and family apartments which consist of two rooms are at guests’ disposal. In the dining room there is a fireplace by which we can sip mulled wine in the evening. Outside there is a playground, a barbecue site and a small car park.
What is a guesthouse without delicious cuisine which will delight every gourmet? The menu of Kościuszko*** is rich and the dishes are made of natural, regional ingredients from local suppliers. Homemade jams, pickled red pine
mushrooms, cucumbers, peppers and delicious homemade cakes are a real treat. Even the sound of all those delicacies will make our mouths water!
When we plan our holidays in Krynica-Zdrój, we should get acquainted with an offer of longer stays. Kościuszko Guesthouse have prepared special Christmas, New Year, summer, winter or autumn packages which include accommodation and board. Guests who decide to stay longer can count on special discounts.
Amateurs of active leisure can rent bikes at the guesthouse. They can choose from mountain, tourist, town and electric ones. Additionally, they can equip themselves with accessories such as helmets and bike seats.
From the guesthouse we may hit cycling routes thanks to which we will discover Krynica and its vicinity. By bike we will reach Tylicz, Powroźnik or Muszyna. There are a number of cycling trails – VeloKrynica, the Carpathian Cycling Trail, EuroVelo11 or VeloNatura. The most skilled cyclists can ride up Jaworzyna Krynicka or Huzary.
