Social Responsibility

KTJ’s Vision 2030 is an ambitious 10-year plan with five strategic goals, one of which is: ‘Championing sustainability’. Our aim is to develop students who actively contribute to the betterment of society, whether it’s through projects which focus on community development, the environment or equality.

One of the most impactful initiatives from this academic year has been KTJ’s Anti-Racism Campaign, organised by the Diversity and Inclusion Team. Students engaged in a number of activities and talks throughout the week, including creating Anti-Racism Wall Murals in their boarding houses.

KTJ’s Peer-to-Peer Support Group have been working hard to raise awareness of mental health within the school community. They marked Mental Health Awareness Month with a “Wear it green” mufti day, which was supported by Cafe Diem which served green pastries and desserts! Money raised from the mufti was donated to the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA).

Finally, KTJ Sixth Form students, Marcus, Ryan and Syed designed and coded an app called Enviropal, which helps individuals to measure and offset their carbon emissions. The app was developed as part of a weeklong FOBISIA coding involving 23 schools in South East Asia. Enviropal was deemed “exceptional” by the judges and featured in the top five apps which showed “real spark”.

The KTJ Alumni Association

You will always be a part of the KTJ family.

If you are graduating from KTJ (or have already graduated!), please join the KTJ Alumni Association.

The KTJ Alumni Association strives to keep past students connected to support, celebrate, and encourage each other. We (re)connect our Alumni and provide opportunities for business networking, socialising at fun events and fundraising for charity. We encourage our Alumni to engage with their KTJ juniors through careers events and enrichment evenings that host talks, advisory sessions and consultations. Each year, our Alumni also come together to play sports, such as cricket, football, golf and rugby.
