Chief Minister's Cup Written By: Mr. Asogan "This term I was honoured to be appointed to coach KTJ’s golf team. In the first week I met with the players and we created a video of the swing and discussed any issues that needed to be addressed. Making changes to a swing can be a difficult and long process and requires a player to adapt both physically and mentally. I must say I was very impressed with the talent and knowledge of the players and the hard work they put into the game. I was also impressed with the support they receive from KTJ which is critical to the success of these young players. After 1 term of getting to know the players, gaining their confidence and implementing new ideas on technique, 3 players went to Sarawak for the Chief Minister's Cup, an international golf tournament. We are proud to report all players performed admirably both on and off the course and are a credit to KTJ and I look forward to more success in the new year.

Results Winnie Ng - overall girls champion Victor Ng - runner-up boys division Izzat Syazmin - 2nd runner-up boys division

Alumni Rugby

For the first time in 8 years the Alumni played a Rugby match against our current students! It was 10-a-side contact rugby which ended up being a great game with 9 tries! Mr Maidin & Mr. Scargill played with the school team to boost their power to weight ratios and in a game that involved Alumni from the past 7 years .The current student team won the match 35-22!

The current school team’s tries were scored by this year’s School Captain Azri Azmi (2), Rizqin, Mr. Scargill and Brandon, with Min and Azri converting all of the tries. We hope that this will become a regular feature in future Alumni events! It was great getting everyone together!

House Night Fun

On the first weekend of every term, all of the House organise teambuilding activities and many go out of school to partake in group fun. This term Naquiyuddin House went to District 21, a place that has free fall jumping, a maze, a bunch of trampolines, karts, climbing walls and many other things to try. It was tiring, but fun, and because it was a Sunday morning we had the place to ourselves!

World Cup Fever

On Tuesday 6th September, Mr. Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Scargill took students to watch the FIFA World Cup qualifier between Syria and South Korea at Stadium Paroi in Seremban. More than 25 of our Korean students got to sample a World Cup atmosphere as thousands of Korean fans sang their hearts out for the team. Despite a well played game, Korea did not manage to score and the game finished 0-0. It was a lot of fun and we hope to watch the Malaysia football team play later in the year!
