Congratulations on participating in the 2021 FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon & Team Relay. We’re excited to welcome you back safely with LIVE racing on our famous Blue Line and a new race series sponsor, Summa Health. Whether you are running with us in-person or virtually, we are happy to have you back stronger, faster and fitter than ever!

To celebrate our return to racing, we’ve designed an exciting new course for our marathoners, half-marathoners and relay teams. It features a new start at the breathtaking Akron Art Museum and an exhilarating, world-class finish at Lock 3 in the heart of our city’s newly renovated downtown district. In between, runners will head over the All-America Bridge, experience North Hill, The University of Akron, Firestone Park, the Towpath Trail, Merriman Valley, Sand Run Park, the West Akron neighborhoods, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, and Highland Square. This year’s course will be loaded with local entertainment coordinated by ArtsNow with support from Ohio Arts Council. Additionally, you’ll be energized at the FirstEnergy Ambassador Zip Zone at Mile 4.2 and the SummaCare Hydration/ Motivation Station at Mile 25.4. You’ll find plenty of opportunities for records and PRs. And don’t miss our annual, free Kids Fun Run presented by Akron Children’s Hospital!
