Dear friends and neighbors, Knox Community Hospital is pleased to present our 2014-2015 Community Report. We take our responsibility to meet your healthcare needs very seriously and work with other community members, organizations and agencies to achieve shared goals for community health improvement.
Our Mission: To provide compassionate healthcare service that exceeds the expectations of our community.
Community benefit programs enhance the health of our community in a multitude of ways—health promotions, health screenings, medical education and community support—and exist to improve the lives of the people we serve. These activities go beyond the daily care for our patients. The graphs shown on page 12 provide a look at the key areas of unreimbursed care, community health support and screenings, community building activities and support, and health profession education. The Foundation provides new services and equipment for our community and ensures that Knox Community Hospital remains a strong and vibrant resource for the health and wellness of our friends, families, and neighbors. 2014 Campaign
On behalf of The Foundation for Knox Community Hospital, I want to express our deep gratitude for the overwhelming generosity of our community. In 2014, we exceeded our goal and raised more than $411,000 toward the purchase of three new pieces of diagnostic imaging equipment. In 2015, we launched a new

raising $1,000,000 for breast health diagnostic equipment. At the end of 2015, we were well on our way toward achieving that goal, having raised nearly $575,000. In January of 2016, the first of two brand new 3-D digital mammography units was purchased and installed with these funds. As I am sure you know, we are blessed with a truly outstanding community here in Knox County. I am humbled
