The monograph written by E. Šmelová provides a relatively comprehensive view of the issue of education of preschool children. The topic of the monograph matches the author’s expertise. In addition to high-quality theoretical resources the author uses a large amount of research findings. In my opinion, a great asset of the monograph is that the author confirms theoretical statements by suitable examples from educational practice in kindergartens, which considerably increases the readability of the text. The author enriches the view of preschool children by providing a new perspective, which will surely be appreciated by all for whom the monograph is intended.. prof.
