Now I know what you might be thinking, how has a 16 year-old girl gone all this time without watching the iconic movie, Mean Girls? The answer to that is simply: I don’t know. Growing up I always heard about the movie, I’ve just never had the time or the desire to watch it.. That is until our staf decided to do a Mean Girls theme for the frst issue. ~ Mark Waters When I watched Mean Girls, it defnitely wasn’t what I expected. I had this expectation that the movie would be like some version of Sharpay from High School Musical, however, the main characters were much shadier. The movie is defnitely funny though. In my honest opinion I would rate this movie a seven out of 10.

While it was an interesting movie I honestly don’t know if I would watch it over and over again because it was “that good.’’ like how people say it’s a great classic and watch it over and over again. I would probably watch it again if a friend wanted to or I was bored and needed something funny to watch.

My favorite scene was when Cady was trying to adjust to going to regular school and did and said things that were totally unexpected ways.

Also another one of my favorites was literally anything Karen said because whenever she would say something, it was just so dumb and I wasn’t expecting it at all. For example when she put the letter “K” on her chest and wrote it backwards and didn’t notice the diference at all

While the movie is a comedy, it shares an honest truth about how girls treat each other. It addresses the fact that everyone has talked bad about someone behind their back before, which when you think about it, it really sucks.

At the end of the day, rumors hurt. Even though you know it’s not true, some people believe it anyways no matter what you tell them. No one wants things spread about them that weren’t true, and it makes you think twice about things before saying them.
