Anderson Dam is a great place to visit for an afternoon of relaxation of fishing and berry picking in season ACA annually stocks this pond with trout, typically before the May long weekend The site is easy to find: from Drumheller, take Highway 9 W for 13 km. Access is on the N side of the highway, opposite RR 211.
The Red Deer River runs over 700 km through central Alberta and into Saskatchewan The variety in the landscape means the fish population changes depending on where you are in the river The prairie to badlands section of the river has warmer, slower waters and is home to a variety of species and larger fish
From Wimborne, travel south on Highway 805, turn west on Twp Rd 334, then turn north on RR 263 The pond is on the west side of the road ACA annually stocks this pond with trout, typically before the May long weekend
