The Kettle Moraine YMCA is the area’s largest provider of school-age child care, providing care for more than 950 children ages 3 to 13 each day throughout Ozaukee and Washington Counties. Children are given the opportunity to express their individual talents in a safe and well-supervised atmosphere and parents are free from worry about their children’s care while they are at work. The entire experience for the children is built around activities that challenge them to accept and demonstrate the Y’s values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Social Emotional Learning
In our programs, we use Second Step Out-Of-School curriculum. This involves a few 10-15 minute lessons per week that focus on increasing children’s social competence. Parent Registration Information WEEKLY AUTO PAYMENTS School-age payments are processed through a weekly automatic draft.
Split Payments
Families who need to split payments between two parties must have banking information submitted for both parties.
When completing the registration form, families are required to provide credit card or bank account information. Payments will be automatically charged every Monday*.
Sibling Discounts
All fees are nonrefundable. Insufficient funds may result in an additional fee.
To qualify: • Children must attend the same schedule • Additional discount opportunity:
* The first auto draft for the school year will occur on the first day of school or September 1, whichever comes first.
If a child attends full-time (5 days per week) in an Early Childhood Education program, their sibling(s) enrolled in School Age programs are also eligible for a 10% discount.
Families with two or more children enrolled in School Age programs are eligible for a 10% discount on the oldest child(ren).
ROTATING OR VARYING SCHEDULES
WISCONSIN SHARES Wisconsin Shares is a Child Care Subsidy Program that authorizes funding to help families pay a portion of childcare fees using the MyWIChildCare EBT card.
Families with rotating or varying schedules may register only for the days or weeks they know they will need care. As schedules are confirmed throughout the year, families may log in and register for additional dates.
If a registration is submitted before a child is approved for Wisconsin Shares, the parent is responsible for all childcare fees until EBT funds have posted.
To ensure space is available, families must register at least two weeks in advance. Please note that registration is subject to availability, and space is not guaranteed, even when registering within the two‑week timeframe. Example: If a family only knows their schedule one month at a time, they may register two weeks before their start date for that month. Once the following month’s schedule is confirmed, they should log back in and register for that month at least two weeks in advance. For schedules that vary by day from week to week, we strongly recommend using the “Use Calendar” feature when prompted to select days in the system. Exceptions to the Two‑Week Registration Requirement Requests for exceptions to the two‑week advance registration rule may be submitted via email and reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.

Monthly Payment Process • Funds load onto the MyWIChildCare EBT card on the 1st of each month. • Parents must process payment to the YMCA by the 5th of the month. • After the 5th, the billing office will notify parents of any remaining balance owed. ADMISSION POLICY & SPECIAL NEEDS
Directions for enrolling in your household membership will be provided via email. For questions, please contact the Membership Director at your local Y branch.
Y School Age Programs are open to children of all abilities. Parents are required to disclose any significant medical, physical, or behavioral needs at the time of enrollment. If a child has unique needs that may require specific accommodations, a meeting with the Leadership Team must be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the child’s start date. This process allows staff to identify the most effective ways to support both the child and family. Children are expected to meet the standards of the School Age Program to the best of their ability. At this time, the program is unable to accommodate: • • • •
One‑on‑one care Physical aggression toward staff or other children Leaving the designated range of supervision Behaviors that create safety concerns
PERMANENT REGISTRATION CHANGES & CANCELATIONS All permanent schedule changes, including adding or canceling days, must be submitted at least two weeks before the draft date and are subject to availability. Adding Days Requests to add days will be reviewed based on availability. If approved, the draft amount will be adjusted accordingly. Canceling Days Requests to cancel days received with less than 2 weeks notice may incur a fee. Please email the appropriate county using the email address provided below.

Click REGISTER ONLINE in the upper‑right corner of the webpage.
For the 2026-2027 school year, use the same login used for camp, prior school‑year programs, or other YMCA registrations.
Step 2: Find Your Program
Step 5: Choose Your Attendance Days
Go to www.kmymca.org/ schoolage/ and review the Before and After School information and brochure for the site your child will attend.
Log in using your existing YMCA credentials. If new to the YMCA, create an account. If not interested in a household membership, select non‑member.
Search for the Before and After School Program in your county. Select the morning and/or afternoon location that serves your child’s school (usually the school itself, with some exceptions).

Select the days your child will attend. For rotating or inconsistent schedules, use the USE CALENDAR option. Please register only for the days you know your child will attend. Schedule changes must be made at least two weeks in advance.

When school is not in session, School’s Out Day Program offers families a safe, reliable, and fun childcare option. Our licensed program is available on days such as school breaks, snow days, teacher in‑service days, and other non‑school days. Our goal is to make your child’s day off engaging and worry‑free—and to provide parents with peace of mind knowing their child is in great hands. Most of our school districts provide full-day care at one of our Y Care locations when there is no school. We need at least eight children signed up to host a School’s Out Day. What Your Child Can Expect Each School’s Out Day is thoughtfully planned and full of opportunities for children to move, create, and connect with friends. Each location has their own unique planned activities. All activities take place in a safe, welcoming environment designed to support children’s growth and well‑being. Caring, Qualified Staff Children are supervised by trained and qualified YMCA staff who provide strong leadership, positive guidance, and compassionate care.
