CONTENT From my perspective, landscape architecture is a unique language to make transformations. Solving ecological and social problems, improving the quality of exterior space, and exploring a balance between humans and nature, landscape architecture acts as an important role to establish a connection between society and the environment.

In my portfolio, my perception of landscape architecture was shown through three different types of transformation: · spatial transformation (project 1), · transformation of modules (project 2), · vertical transformation (project 3), These transformations solved different problems and all achieved a balance between nature and humans. To conclude, landscape architecture is the inspiration of both designers and nature, always establishing harmonious connections among the world's complex elements. As a student in landscape architecture, I am looking forward to exploring the infinite possibilities of connections throughout my education, research, and career.

· Jinjiang river divides Chengdu into two parts and forms a buffer zone of urban greening. Despite the existence of bridges, the space and crowd activities on two sides are sometimes separated. Although the current situation of the site is not bad, I want to make more connections between the space on both sides and the crowd in the site through the remodeling of bridges and space. · In order to connect two sides of the site, I redesign all the large and small spaces to make the forms of space more abundant and suitable for the behavior of visitors. The spacial forms also can guide visitors to explor more views.

·According to the space syntax theory, I calculate the site integration degree and select the road with the highest accessibility. Combined with the trend of population mobility, site1 is the most active and accessible site. Therefore, I choose site1 for this design, hoping to improve its accessibility and make it more energetic, fantastic and characteristic.

·From the topographic elements of the site, it can be concluded that site1 is located at the highest point of the site, with micro-terrain suitable for slope, diversified slope directions and the widest view point.

Introduction

·The preservation and renewal of heritage landscapes is a permanent problem all over the world because every famous landscape will eventually becomes heritage as time goes on. These preserved heritages are usually used for functions other than the original one and need regular repairation. · Aiming to make the heritage flexible to adapt to various functional changes, I come up with an idea to design a metabolism landscape.

In this design, the self-generable, removable and renewable nature of the metabolic landscape makes the site can adapt to the change of multiple functions and be preserved for a long time.

Li Du temple

·Li Du Temple was built in 1900 by a rich lover of literature in memory of the great poets Li Bai and Du Fu of tang Dynasty. Li Du Temple is backed by Fule nountain and faces Fujiang River, covering an area of 4,000 square meters.

·I draw three types of master plan and intuitively show the impact of the change of metabolism landscapes' position on the layout of the whole site. In the nomal case, landscapes are scattered throughout the site. Landscapes are distributed on both sides of the site when the exhibition is held. When the heritage needs reparation, landscapes would restrict the movement of visitors.

Introduction

· Humans create communities to find empathy and belonging. But in the densely populated modern era, people are overwhelmed by the concrete and steel of high residential buildings. I create more vertical green space for the narrow community by utilizing the light structures while reducing the sensory burden of residents.

Takeing refuge while prospecting others under floating catchers ·It follows from the prospect-refuge theory that people want to take refuge while prospecting others. I set up five landscape groups serve as shelters in the community open field to help residents to take refuge. In the meantime, people under cover can prospect things as much as they can to satisfy their desire.
