Konkus Farm

C H E S T E R TOW N S H I P A long scenic driveway winds through fields and pastures, over a stone-pillared bridge and gurgling brook, leading into the enchanting equestrian compound known as Konkus Farm. The 24-acre property with a stunningly renovated 19th century farmhouse and recently updated equestrian facilities is breathtaking.

It’s an idyllic setting. As far as the eye can see is gently rolling acreage bordered by woodlands, while the main residence and four substantial farm buildings at the heart of the property are meticulously landscaped with rose bushes, stone walls, and classic picket fencing.

Retaining its historic charm and many period details, the five-bedroom residence has been completely modernized into a beautiful, spacious home with high ceilings, random-width pumpkin pine floors, and a multitude of fine appointments.

The kitchen, breakfast area, and high-ceilinged family room comprise the center of the home’s first floor living space. All the equestrian and farm buildings, which have undergone substantial recent updates, are red barnstyle construction with pitched roofs and white trim, adding up to a picture-perfect setting, where old meets new and function blends with style.

THE AREA Chester offers highly regarded public schools, a selection of nearby private schools and a recently built state-of-the-art public library. A walk down its historic main street reveals charming antique stores, boutiques and venues for fine country dining. Nearby the contemporary Streets of Chester is home to nationally recognized retailers. Only moments away, Route 206 whisks residents to a network of major highways and the urban world beyond.
