A truck farm is a century-old term for a farm that trucks its produce from the gardens to local markets.

Joe’s Gardens started in the ‘20s, but in 1933 moved to the location where it still stands today. Joe’s is one of only a few original truck farms in Whatcom County that still operates, selling their goods at a stand on the farm.
