The sea of past and present
Klitmøller Collective is a lifestyle. Our ideas originate from encounters, journeys and casual gatherings from a lifetime of generations, bound together by the sea in and around Klitmøller. We design for people who are drawn to the raw Nordic nature.
We care about the environment and the people that make our products. We use organic cotton, high quality mulesing free wool and recycled yarns for our knitwear. All knitwear is made in Portugal from premium yarns from trusted suppliers. We always strive to use natural and recycled fabrics and only manufacture in Portugal where we carry out regular visits to our suppliers, to audit working conditions, ensuring our products are made in a fair and ethical way.

“Jutland’s only cliff and bulwark against the sea.” – St. St. Blicher
Bulbjerg is a 47-meter limestone cliff on Denmark’s west coast. Here, you can hear the wild sea call. The only Danish bird cliff, where black-legged kittiwakes find solace in its towering height. It is a haven for the skies, where wind and waves entwine.
Bulbjerg, a masterpiece crafted from bryozoan limestone, was born 65 million years ago. Bryozoans, tiny moss creatures, gathered in colonies, nestled within branch-like structures. Together, they built vast limestone reefs on the seabed, slowly sculpting the magnificent cliff that graces our gaze today. These timeless formations are not just geological wonders, but living narratives of ancient days, resilience, marine environments, and life forms. The cliff’s World War II observation bunker and rugged beauty stand as a testament to time, inviting us to wonder at the stories it holds.
Legends whisper that within the heart of Bulbjerg, Holger Danske sits, ready to save Denmark should we face peril. A tad west of Bulbjerg, stood alone in the sea Skarreklit, which collapsed during a storm on a night in 1978. Holger Danske, it is said, placed a golden bowl on top of Skarreklit to store his gold coins. Today, only a tiny stump remains of the rock, a silent tribute to the mysteries that surround Bulbjerg.
In this poetic haven where the elements collide, Bulbjerg is a place where nature’s majesty forever aligns.
