INTERESTING TED TOPICS Exercise Personal Growth Motivation Social Media Sleep

I was interested in these topics because I struggle with all of them personally. I wanted to pick a conference topic that I would benefit from as well. I chose social media because I am curious to see how our society continues to be affected by it and how I am personally affected by it.

PERSONAS

AMBER DRISCOLL

ELIJAH GORDON

Amber Driscoll is an aspiring social media influencer originally from Naples, Florida. The 22-year-old has recently moved to Los Angeles, California after graduating with an associates degree from Florida State University. She has become active on social media to try to get her name out into the world with no luck. She works at the Urth Café temporarily before she finds a more permanent source of income. Outside of finding work related to social media, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Minnie, and scrolling through TikTok. Having a lot of free time on her hands, she also enjoys yoga to stay in shape, and she loves to binge watch Shameless. Amber has become very independent, being single and hardly staying in touch with her friends and family from home, besides when on social media. It is hard for Amber to afford the lavish Los Angeles lifestyle, living in her one-bedroom apartment and shopping at her local Food 4 Less supermarket.

Elijah Gordon is one of Australia’s favorite lifestyle influencers. At 28 years old, he has acquired over 700k+ followers on Instagram alone, providing fashion advice, exercise tips, and eating plans. He quit his job as an electrician to show the world his passions of style, lifestyle, fitness and travel. Outside of social media, Elijah is a husband to Leah and father to two beautiful girls, ages one and three. They live in a contemporary house in Adelaide, South Australia. When he’s not traveling the globe, Elijah loves working out and cooking. These workouts range from swimming to in the gym weightlifting. Elijah also spends his time attending exclusive events and parties due to his collaboration with big name brands. He can get a little too focused on being present online to obtain his image, which takes away from the time he spends with his daughters.
