WHAT A WILD FINISH IT WAS FOR DISTRICT 15-6A FOOTBALL.

The Klein Cain Hurricanes and Klein Collins Tigers (10-2; 6-1) were co-District Champs, but the ‘Canes won the head-to-head matchup. Cain won their first-round playoff game over Cypress Ranch before falling to The Woodlands. Collins won their first-rounder over Bridgeland before falling to Westfield. It’s no surprise that Collins and Cain virtually swept the superlatives.

James Clancy (Cain) and Adrian Mitchell (Collins) were Co-Coaches of the Year, while Jaelen Smith of Cain was the District MVP for his versatile play. Klein Forest’s Brad Spence (Arkansas-signee) was the Defensive MVP after a dominant season.

Klein (4-6; 3-4) and Klein Forest (5-5; 3-4) just missed out on the postseason, while Klein Oak (3-6; 1-6) was rebuilding in 2022.
