Assistive Technology Program"
NC STEP Grant Update"
The SALT Council (Seniors And Law Enforcement Together) will have a program on “Assistive Technology” at the Roy C. Reitzel Center, 128 S. Fayetteville Street, Liberty on Wednesday, July 16th at 2:00. Sonya Butler Clark, Assistive Technology Information Specialist from the NC Assistive Technology Program will discuss categories of assistive technology, the Device Loan Program, helps with vision, hearing, mobility and daily living and more. The speaker will bring equipment for demonstration. This event is FREE and open to the public. Please bring family and friends to this informative event. Refreshments will be provided. Liberty Leader was at the town hall meeting last night, great to have guest from Raleigh in. We now have the contract signed to start the funding from our Grant from NC STEP PROGRAM. Strategy #3! *Business Directory Brochure ($2,500)! *Business Website ($10,000)! *Street scape Improvements ($8,500)! All the groups have their plans in place and now are moving forward. So excited to see how over the past year the community has came together to make Liberty better. Great things are around the corner. New growth is happening.
