New Town Brochure Underway!
Part of the funds from our NC STEP Grant will be used to print a Liberty Brochure / Directory that will be placed at numerous locations throughout Randolph County and surrounding area to attract visitors to Liberty. The chair person for this committee is Carol Wall of Awesome Finds. This brochure will showcase information such as, About The Area, Festival & Events, Local Dining, Distinctive Shopping, Things To Do, Historical and Services. A map of the area will also be included to help locate all the great things in Liberty. We are planning to have 5,000 copies printed. Local businesses will get some but they are planned to go out to local tourist spots and be on hand to mail out to people that call and inquire about Liberty or people who are new to the area. Local Businesses can get their establishment or service listed in the directory for $20. A very inexpensive investment to have exposure to 5000 potential customers. You say, if we got a grant why are we having to pay. Well, the NC Step Grant pays for the first year printing and creation of the brochure/directory which will be out this year. In order to print next years, we need to have money on hand for the coming year. So the fees collected will go into an account for the 2015 printing. That way we always have fund on hand to get things started. Okay community this is where we need you. You will be seeing in February forms coming around for you to fill out if you want to be listed in the brochure/directory. So be on the lookout. We are shooting to have them start hitting the streets around Feb 12 and are requesting them returned by March 12. In addition community, we need volunteers to help get these forms out and collected.There is a . lot of data to collect and we need volunteers.
