PVC Pipes and Plumbing

Metal-polymer pipes

Metal-polymer pipes have a three-layer structure: the main pipe is made of sewn-in polyethylene ( it has excellent heat resistance), a layer of aluminum foil and a polyethylene protective shell. The last layer provides enormous strength and resistance to pressure from the inside. Such pipes are very easy to install and connect well with modern plumbing.

Polypropylene pipes

The next type of PVC sewer pipes that is in great demand is polypropylene pipes. They appeared due to the need for a hot water supply system. The advantages of this type of pipe are: low thermal conductivity, durability, increased temperature resistance ( depending on the thickness of the layers, reaches 75 ° C), as well as the ability to withstand short-term increases in carrier temperatures up to 95 ° C.

When buying plastic pipes, consider the most important characteristics. These are: pipe diameter, possibility of their linear expansion, working pressure, heat resistance of the carrier, chemical resistance.

An important point is the resistance of pipe products to temperature changes. Many manufacturers in their advertising brochures claim that their pipes can serve for at least 50 years, at temperatures reaching 95 °C. Remember: in reality, the shelf life directly depends on the temperature and when the maximum is reached, the service life will be significantly reduced.
