

THE TIGER
An adventure with Grandpa during the war

Grandpaandtheothersoldiers hadsetupcampneartheriver.
Theyweretiredandreadytorest afteralongday.
Buttheyhadsetuptheircamp betweenatigerandtheriver!
That night, the tiger needed a drink of water from the river.
When it walked to the river, it realised there were people in its way.




Grandpa and the other soldiers didn't see the tiger at first, but they could hear it.
The tiger was low growling and coughing as it circled the camp, trying to figure out a way to get to the river.

The next morning, Grandpa found the tiger's paw prints in the mud. They were huge!


Grandpa knew that they had been visited by one of the jungle's most amazing animals




He felt lucky to have shared the night with such a magnificent creature.
He always remembered that special encounter.
