Kate Rebecca Leach is an artist, illustrator, and tutor based in Hertfordshire, UK.
Much of her work is inspired by nature, from flowers and greenery, to gemstones & jewels. She’s obsessed with embellishment (as her jewellery collection will pay testament), so her work often features a myriad of dots, decorations, and most importantly, gold!
She founded her brand, Essoldo Design, in 2020 and since then has been lucky enough to have built a community of over 100k Instagram followers, sold her work in over 35 countries worldwide, licensed products across the UK, Europe, and the USA, and she’s currently writing her first book on creative abstract watercolour.

Metallic Gold
Kate loves using metallic gold in her paintings. Knowing this, Windham Fabrics incorporated this theme into Ebb & Flow. The team brought Kate’s fabric to life by adding metallic embellishments to match her artwork. The metallic is soft and never overpowering. It adds just the right bit of shine & dimension to the prints, and especially, your projects.

The Process
Kate starts the production process by sending her beautifully painted watercolors to us.
Once the design team at Windham receives her artwork, they scan and digitize her paintings.
After a period of exciting collaboration and adding those final touches of metallic gold, the paintings are brought to life on fabric!
