KBL Contributes to the National Milestone With Canned Motor Pumps for Kakrapar Nuclear Plant

Kirloskar Brothers Limited is proud to be a part of this national achievement with the inauguration of Units 3 & 4 at Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant in Gujarat. Our contribution to the project involved supplying Canned Motor Pumps (CMP) for moderator coolant applications, which are essential for ensuring the complete and efficient functionality of the plant at all times. KBL had earlier provided CMPs to Unit 1 and 2 as well. These pumps play a vital role in safe and reliable power generation.

KBL Powers Narmada Valley Development Authority with VT Pumps for Kalisindh Micro Irrigation Scheme

Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) feels proud to have contributed to the ISP Kalisindh Phase-I Micro Lift Irrigation Scheme undertaken by the Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA) of the Madhya Pradesh government. KBL’s Vertical Turbine (VT) pumps have been instrumental in ensuring the efficient lifting and distribution of water for irrigation across a vast 100,000 hectares of land.

The Kalisindh Phase-I scheme aims to transform agriculture in the Narmada Valley region by providing reliable micro-irrigation facilities to farmers. These pumps were selected for this project due to their following features:

• Unmatched Performance: Capable of lifting a staggering 32.04 cumecs (cubic meters per second) of water, these pumps ensure consistent water flow for irrigation across the extensive 100,000-hectare area.

Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water & Rural Development (MoLAFWRD) of Zimbabwe. This strategic partnership aims to accelerate the irrigation development across the country, contributing to increased agricultural productivity and food security.

Through this MoU, KBL and MoLAFWRD will collaborate on various initiatives, including supplying advanced irrigation solutions. KBL will provide its highly advanced pumps and other irrigation solutions, tailored to the specific needs of Zimbabwe’s diverse landscapes and crops.

Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) has successfully installed and commissioned its Horizontal Split Case Pumps at the raw water house treatment plant in Sethiathope, Tamil Nadu.
