Can truth be defined? Is there any such thing as Truth?
Do you hear the truth when you turn on the 24/7 news cycle?
Today most people don’t trust the news media, our government, or anyone else for that mater.
An en�re genera�on has begun defining truth as whatever is true for them personally. Since truth cannot be found outside of us it must be something we discover within us. Whatever I desire to be true to myself is my truth. Should each person be free to discover and define their personal reality and defini�on of truth?
Today, the consensus is that there is no absolute truth. Each religion boasts that they have the truth. Yet, their adherents seem as lost as the rest of us. The search for truth goes on and it never seems to reach its final des�na�on. WHAT IF OUR SEARCH FOR TRUTH IS FLAWED?
Most people have heard of Jesus. Yet, many people do not know much about one of His disciples, Thomas. Thomas became known as “Doub�ng Thomas.” Yet, I think that is a litle unfair. Like you and me Thomas was simply looking for the truth. He asked Jesus, "Lord,
we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way (or the truth)?"
John 14:5
Thomas thought he would find truth by joining the small band of men that followed Jesus. Yet, when Jesus taught and spoke to Thomas, he had a hard �me understanding Jesus. Thomas was desperately searching for truth through understanding, a way of living, and by discovering a new perspec�ve on life.
What happened next would rock Thomas’ world! JESUS MAKES AN OUTRAGEOUS CLAIM!
Unlike any religious leader before Him and any that would follow Him, Jesus did not claim to simply know the way to the truth.
“Jesus
said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 This was revolu�onary! This was something no one had claimed before. I will never forget the moment I discovered Jesus. My search for the truth came to an end! My ques�ons about God and His existence were immediately answered. The Bible that I had been given as a child suddenly came alive and I could not stop reading its pages. It was not because I found the right pathway, denomina�on, or religion.
I FOUND JESUS? Take a moment to think about it. What if Jesus really is the Way, the Truth, and The Life? What if Jesus is the answer to all your ques�ons, yearnings, and anxious thoughts you are batling with as you look
He is calling you right now. You don’t have to understand everything to embrace Jesus as The Truth. All you need to do is repent of your sins (searching for truth in all the wrong places) and believe in Jesus. Here is what the Bible says.
REPENT: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel (the Good News that Jesus is the Truth!)." Mark 1:15
BELIEVE: “…If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus (as the Way, the Truth, and The Life) and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10
RECEIVE: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of
God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12

“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son (Jesus, The Truth) has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” I John 5:11-12
