A THANK YOU FROM LOCAL CHURCH DYNAMICS Dear Family and Friends: It has been just over a month since Karen and I returned from our mission trip to Thailand. This update and report are far overdue. However, when we arrived home, we have been extremely busy with normal life and work obligaons, and I have been busy creang new materials for outreach and discipleship. Yet, I did not want any more time to pass before we reached out to thank all of those who supported us prayerfully and financially to make this trip possible. Karen and I had never traveled that far from home, so we did not know what to expect. We must thank many of our friends who helped prepare us with travel and packing ps that made this trip go much easier than we expected. It took almost 30 hours before we arrived in Thailand and we were greeted by Pastor Arron Moon, our host from Refuge Calvary Chapel in Chaing Mai. Our drive to the hotel and conference center took a litle over 30 minutes. We were surprised by the beauty of the surroundings where we were staying. The conference center was in Horizon Village, a beauful 115-acre botanical garden, that was surrounded by plants and water all around. Our room was very comfortable and in tradional Thailand architecture. Our first job when we arrived was to check in, get our luggage setled, get something to eat, and then sleep! We slept most of the day on our first day, which was Saturday.
On Sunday we had the joy of worshipping at the Refuge Calvary Chapel, pastored by Arron and Vicky Moon, in Chiang Mai. The Lord is doing a wonderful work of revival in this church and has been adding to the church and mulplying it over the past couple of years. Pastors Arron and Vicky Moon are dear missionary friends that we have been supporng for over 10 years. They visited us frequently at The Fellowship at Weatherford, and they stayed with us last year while on furlough in the States. Many of the ministers and missionaries who were there 1
