A Message From Our CEO Before the numbers are released, I can already tell you that there is a slowdown in the real estate market. Why? It’s due to a decline in housing affordability, rising interest rates, and inflation due to the Russia/Ukraine War. The central bank rate is at 0.5% and they have plans to increase their rates up to 2.25%. The government wants the red hot housing economy to cool down and they will increase interest rates to do just that. We predict that 2022 may not be a record year however it will still be one of the best years in real estate. The good news is that we will have a balanced market for once in a very long time.
