Good technique
Poor technique
Darker streaks
Missed coverage
Tip: Good technique requires coverage and friction. Spreading out the color evenly makes sure friction is happening.
Cause: If small streaks of color remain and the surface has completely dried:
• Poor wiping technique
• Highlight adhering to dirt/sticker residue
Solution:
• To wipe with good technique, fold wipe in half and spread color evenly
• Use elbow grease to remove dirt/sticker residue
• Any remaining color residue can be removed with an uncolored peroxide wipe
Cause: If none of the color fades and the surface has completely dried:
• Not using peroxide wipes (bleach, quat, etc.)
• Peroxide wipes have dried out
• Peroxide wipes have expired
Solution:
• Grab a fresh canister of peroxide wipes
Check expiration date
Cause: If color remains in crevices or the same parts of the surface repeatedly:
• Dirt/grime is stuck in crevices
• Surface is old/porous and absorbing color
Solution:
• Use elbow grease to remove dirt/grime and crevices will no longer stay blue
• If surface is porous, it may be harboring pathogens. Use blank peroxide wipes to remove color (see next slide)
1. It’s common for people to experience partial fading (small streaks) in the beginning. Don’t be discouraged!
2. Disinfect room normally and allow time for color to fade away.
3. At the very end of room cleaning, push side buttons to open Lid and grab a blank/uncolored peroxide wipe.
4. Do an inspection of the room, using the blank peroxide wipe to dab any small streaks away.
After 5 minutes of inactivity, wipes will get retracted back into the Lid to prevent drying.
